Diligence

Diligence is steady, consistent, earnest, and energetic effort in doing the Lord's work. Don't wait for your leaders to tell you what to do. Continue until you have done all you can, even when you are tired.

"I have often said one of the greatest secrets of missionary work is work! If a missionary works, he will get the Spirit; if he gets the Spirit, he will teach by the Spirit; and if he teaches by the Spirit, he will touch the hearts of the people and he will be happy. There will be no homesickness, no worrying about families, for all time and talents and interests are centered of the work of the ministry. Work, work, work!-there is no satisfactory substitute, especially in missionary work."- Ezra Taft Benson

What does it mean to be diligent?
Conquering the enemy of all righteousness! We all know who that is! (hint: Satan)
learn your duty and serve with all your heart!
Don't work your self to death but still work hard :)

Why does the Lord expect you to be diligent?
We have chosen to do this that is why! We fight the darkness and bring about the light.

How does diligence relate to agency?
According to their wants and needs we choose how to help them. We shouldn't need to ask just get to work!

I have a strong testimony that the Book Of Mormon is true! I love it and I read it everyday. I constantly pray to have a reassurance that it is true. I know with all of my heart, might, mind and soul that it is TRUE! The reason I pray constantly to know that it is true is to have an unwavering testimony of it. All four season in a day?!

Today has been an interesting day! lol I have seen the snow/hail I have seen and heard thunder and lightning and I have felt the warm sun ALL in ONE day! Utah weather MAKE UP YOUR MIND! lol ok that is the end of that little rant :) I wish already that Utah would be done with the snow it shouldn't in my opinion be coming when it had decided to be nice and warm and sunny and then change its mind. Well with other things we can change and bring out the sunshine! That goes with today's simple principle. Third We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. Lost (a poem)

Everyone has feelings of loneliness and such. But how to over come them? Through the light of Christ can we become found again. This is a poem I wrote about such feelings. I have feelings of loneliness that I can't break The chains are on me and darkness around me. I have gotten myself in a bind and don't know how to get out. I feel lost and don't know what to do. I am on my knees with streams of tears that flow down my face. I hear a dark sound of laughter that echos through my head. I feel as if I've lost the light. I begin to stand with some flicker of Hope. I stomp my feet wanting to be let out, I feel a soft touch that I didn't notice before A hand is reaching for me, I see it now. I stretch forth with all my might. I am blinded by the light but now I know I haven't become part of the night. I see a loving face with tear stained eyes I want to know how my knight in so much pain could save a wretched soul like mine. ...
